Istanbul’s Top-Rated Cuisine

Istanbul’s Top-Rated Cuisine

by | Oct 27, 2021

Istanbul, one of Turkey’s major cities, is home to some of the world’s top-rated restaurants. Here are some places to add to your itinerary when visiting this thriving city: Ulus 29 − Known for its terrace view of Bosphorus and the bridges of Istanbul, Ulus keeps its traditional roots, delving into regional concepts catered for within the seasonal pallet. The restaurant procures its own dry-aged meat, ice cream and pasta. With each dish being gastro-centred, Ulus 29 is an ideal palette-quencher. Râna Meyhane − Formally known as Topaz, Râna’s Ottoman and Mediterranean cuisine fuse together, accompanied by the restaurant’s geometric design that references the stone ‘Râna’. There is also a choice of two menus, modern or traditional. The modern menu consists of high-class dishes such as goose liver terrine, whilst the traditional menu displays dishes customary to the area, such as Turkish ravioli with beef and strained yoghurt. Banyan − As Istanbul combines Eastern and Western influences, Banyan’s “food for the soul” serves healthy Asian-style alternatives. While residing at the peak of a historical building, Banyan also provides stunning views of the city beneath it. Their Sichuan pepper steak and duck satay accompanied with tea or a cocktail will open your eyes to the fusion that is the progressive Istanbul. Nar Lokanta − Paying homage to its roots, the menu and scenery are symbolically Turkish. The decor features Turkish emphasis and dishes that accentuate Ottoman recipes dating back thousands of years. Nar showcases indoor dining, three terraces and a rooftop during the summer months. All dishes are comprised of seasonal ingredients. In line with classic Turkish cuisine, dishes consist of lamb and seafood. All details are correct at the time of writing – 26/10/21.
